HOLIDAY / FURLOUGH DAY CLOSURES -
THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY AND FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 25
With the exception of Tucson City Golf courses, City Hall and City business offices, including all Council offices will be closed on Thursday, November 24, 2011 for the Thanksgiving holiday.
On Friday, November 25, 2011, city offices, departments, and Council offices will be closed for a furlough day, except as noted below.
9-1-1 and fire/medical emergency dispatch services will be maintained on Friday. Other designated City operations and services will continue on Friday by alternating furlough hours for employees.
The Tucson Convention Center (TCC) ticket offices will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
The Tucson Department of Transportation will have standby crews available on Friday to respond to emergency situations as needed.
Tucson Parks and Recreation administrative offices and recreation centers will be closed on Friday; however, the Reid Park Zoo will be open for regular zoo hours from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. - http://www.tucsonzoo.org. Environmental Services trash and recycling collection will not be collected on Thursday. Residential and commercial customers with regular Thursday and Friday collection will have their collection delayed by one day. The Los Reales Landfill and the Household Hazardous Waste Facility will be open on Friday.
Tucson City Court will be closed on Friday. Its website at www.tucsonaz.gov/courts can be accessed for information including verifying a court date and making a payment online.
