Mission Manor Sports Lighting

The Tucson Parks and Recreation Department is in the process of replacing sports lighting at Mission Manor Park.  Staff wanted you to know that the new lamps need to be run for 24 hours before they hit their designed, stable light levels.  Consequently you may notice or hear from constituents that the sports lighting at Mission Manor field 5 is being left on during the day.  Please note the lamps will be 'burned in' throughout the day for the next 3 days.  This is a required and typical step in building new sports lighting systems.
