Saguaro National Park, in cooperation with the University of Idaho, will be
hosting a series of focus group discussions with the Hispanic community,
from February 25 through February 29, 2012.
The purpose of the discussions is to hear feedback from local residents,
particularly those who never or rarely visit the park, about how Saguaro
National Park can better serve the Tucson Hispanic community. Discussions
will be held in a variety of locations around Tucson and will be conducted
in both English and Spanish. Participants are welcome to bring family
members and children.
No previous knowledge about the park is needed.
In return for participating in one 90 minute discussion, one participant
per family will receive: a free one-day family admission pass to the park,
snacks and refreshments during the discussion and $20 compensation for
travel costs.
Interested persons must RSVP to 520-733-8602 or Natalie _Rose@nps.gov to
attend a session.
