City Hall and City business offices, including all Council offices, will be closed on Thursday, November 25, for the Thanksgiving holiday, with the exception of the Tucson Convention Center and Tucson City Golf courses.
On Friday, November 26, city offices, departments, and Council offices will be closed for a furlough day. The furlough day will not affect the operations at the Tucson Convention Center , Tucson City Golf courses and the Reid Park Zoo, which will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
9-1-1 and fire/medical emergency dispatch services will be maintained on Thursday and Friday. Certain other designated City operations and services will continue on Friday by alternating furlough hours for employees.
Tucson Water and the Tucson Department of Transportation will have standby crews available on Thursday and Friday to respond to emergency situations as needed.
Environmental Services garbage and recycling collection for Thursday and Friday will be delayed by one day. There will be no collection on Thursday. The Los Reales Landfill will be open from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday. The Household Hazardous Waste Facility is not affected by the furlough day. Environmental Services Customer Service will be available on Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Tucson City Court will be closed on Thursday and Friday. Its website at www.tucsonaz.gov/courts can be accessed for information including verifying a court date and making a payment online.
