SUN SHUTTLE SCHEDULE CHANGES EFFECTIVE AUGUST 15

New Sun Shuttle schedules are now available online at www.suntran.com, offering passengers detailed route and schedule information effective August 15, 2011 through February 11, 2012.  Sun Shuttle schedule brochures will be available on the vehicles starting Tuesday, August 9, as well as at various locations around the region, such as public libraries and shopping malls starting Friday, August 12.

Specific routes and scheduling changes include:

Green Valley and Sahuarita

·        Route 421 has new routing and schedules, as the route will no longer travel on Nogales Highway to serve Raytheon Missile Systems or Bombardier due to low ridership at Raytheon.  The route changes will allow for faster travel between Green Valley, Sahuarita and Tucson. 

Marana

·        Route 411 has established new routing to better meet passenger needs and the schedule was adjusted accordingly.  This route will now serve Ina and Thornydale roads on weekdays, allowing an additional connection to Sun Tran and Sun Shuttle Route 412.

Sun Shuttle is the region’s neighborhood transit service funded by the Regional Transportation Authority, serving Marana, Oro Valley, Catalina, Sahuarita, Green Valley, San Xavier and Tucson Estates.
