The Arizona Department of Transportation will continue work next week to resurface the pavement along State Route 82, between Patagonia and Sonoita. Work is scheduled from Monday (Sept. 26) through Friday (Sept. 30) between the hours of 8 a.m. and 7 p.m.
Intermittent lane closures are planned during work hours. Crews and ADOT vehicles will direct traffic through the work zones. Drivers can expect delays of up to 15 minutes.
After work is completed next week, workers will return approximately two weeks later to apply permanent striping along the roadway. A future traffic alert will be sent when those dates are confirmed to notify the public regarding the striping schedule.
The construction schedule is subject to change due to a variety of reasons, including weather, material availability and mechanical difficulties. ADOT advises drivers to proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down, and be alert for construction equipment and personnel.
