Beginning Thursday, January 5, 2012, at 9 a.m., the left curb lane of
Congress Street at Scott Avenue will be closed to traffic to allow work
crews from Diversified Construction, under contract to Tucson Electric
Power, to perform underground utility work in preparation for the Modern
Streetcar Project. The project is scheduled to be complete in two weeks.
Daily work hours will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
At 4 p.m. each day, crews will place steel plates in the roadway and reopen
the travel lane to nighttime travel. Please use caution when walking,
bicycling or driving through the work area. Please obey all traffic control
devices and watch for construction personnel and equipment in the work zone.
