How would $15,000 benefit your school?
Grand Prize: $15,000 to one school
Two Additional Prizes: $3,000 each
Deadline: November 30, 2011

Open to all public and charter Arizona elementary, middle, and high schools.
Fill out the short (one page) application at www.bookmans.com
Bookmans Entertainment Exchange has created the Bookmans School Challenge to recognize and celebrate the creative and innovative ways publicly funded schools in Arizona are doing great things every day. Schools that apply have the opportunity to win prize money (to spend as they see fit) as well as the ability to spread the word about their dedicated teachers, outstanding students, innovative teaching, meaningful learning, and involved parents.
How will the winners be chosen?
Based on clearly expressed examples of innovation, economic need (of students), and a commitment to educational excellence, Bookmans will select 10 semi-finalists from the Challenge applications submitted. Bookmans will then provide video equipment to the semi-finalist schools and ask that each make a short (5-10 minute) video showcasing what makes the school great. The videos will be shown on bookmans.com and on the Bookmans' Facebook page to draw attention to the great work these schools are doing. After viewing the videos, members of the public will be asked to vote for the school they would like to become a finalist in the Challenge. Bookmans will select two additional finalists. One of these three schools will win $15,000 and the other two $3,000 each.
