Safety Classes Offered; Free Car Seats

Car-safety experts are offering free education classes and car seats in Tucson starting Monday.
Preregistration for the classes is required, since class sizes are capped at 18. Call 546-7340 to reserve a spot and to share the child's age and weight to ensure the correct car seat is reserved.
The Ride Safe Kids classes are sponsored through a new partnership between GEICO and Safe Kids Tucson. Car seats will be given to families upon completion of the 90-minute class.
Safe Kids says car seats can reduce fatal injury by more than 70 percent for infants and by 54 percent for children through age 4.
Classes are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. the second Monday of the month, starting Monday and Aug. 13, at GEICO's Tucson office, 930 N. Finance Center Drive, near Speedway and Kolb Road.
Classes continue there on the second Monday of every month through June 2013.
