Kids, Cops and Christmas Update from TPOA

The Tucson Police Officers Association is pleased with the success this year of its annual Kids and Cops Christmas Shopping Event.

The event took place on December 17, 2011 at the Target Store located at 4040 N. Oracle. Approximately 300 children were given the opportunity to shop with close to 100 Police Department volunteer officers. Each child was given a 100 dollar credit to spend in the store. As they did last year, the Tucson Police Officers Association also collected food for the Community Food Bank.

The Tucson Police Officers Association would like to greatly thank Target Stores Inc, volunteers from the Tucson Head Start Program, Keeling Elementary for use of their gym, and Trattoria Pina for catering the luncheon that followed the event as well as our other sponsors (Cyracom, Vantage West Credit Union, Vetrano Investments and Loew’s Ventana Canyon).

The Tucson Police Officers Association would like to thank all of the City Officials that came and helped with the Kids and Cops Christmas Event. As always, the Tucson Police Officers Association is committed to fostering events like these that strengthen community partnerships.
