KOLB ROAD: CONNECTION TO SABINO CANYON ROAD PUBLIC MEETING

The City of Tucson Department of Transportation (TDOT), in cooperation
with the Federal Highway Administration and Regional Transportation
Authority (RTA), requests the public’s participation in a public
meeting. The purpose of this meeting is to gather public input and
update the public with information on the status and schedule of the
voter-approved RTA plan to connect Sabino Canyon Road with Kolb Road.

Tuesday, March 27, 2012
5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. - Presentation at 6 p.m.
Murphy-Wilmot Branch Library
530 N. Wilmot Road

The proposed improvements, as described in the RTA plan, include a
four-lane roadway with bike lanes and sidewalks extending Sabino Canyon
Road south from its intersection with Tanque Verde Road to connect with
Kolb Road approximately one-quarter mile north of Speedway Boulevard.
The connection would include a bridge crossing the Pantano Wash.

The Tanque Verde Road and Sabino Canyon Road intersection is currently
under construction. This meeting will be held to discuss the Sabino
Canyon Road extension south to Kolb Road, present and gain input on the
alternatives analysis, and afford the public an opportunity to review
and comment on the effects of the project on the protected activities,
features and attributes of Udall Park. Public involvement is a part of
that process, and the public is invited to attend the third public
meeting on this project and provide comments, ideas and concerns. If a
member of the public is unable to attend the meeting, please contact
Adriana Mariñez at adriana@gordleygroup.com or 520-327-6077 to obtain a
comment form.
