Core Tax Town Hall Update

I want to thank Richard Miranda, Deputy Manager - City of Tucson, TFD Chief Patrick Kelly, TPD Chief Roberto Villasenor, Budget Administrator Joyce Garland, Fred Gray, Director of Tucson Parks and Recreation, Jim Glock, Director of the City of Tucson Department of Transportation, Donna Trujillo with the Freedom Park Center for their attendance and participation in last night's town hall held at the Freedom Center, 5000 E. 29th St.

I also want to give thanks to City Manager Mike Letcher, Budget Director Marie Nemerguth, City Attorney Mike Rankin, as well as their staffs for helping put these events on to information the constituents about this issue.

Their work not only on this, but other forums and events has been outstanding, informative and shows what a public servant really is, by after a day's work, going the extra mile to participate in events such as the Town Hall. I also want to thank my staff, Melinda Jacobs, Abe Marques, Eileen Contreras and Mark Kerr for helping in this event, as well as the two others my office has held. Most importantly, I want to thank the constituents of Ward 5 who attended the three events held on Proposition 400, the proposed core tax.

Tomorrow is the last day to request a vote by mail ballot. For more information, contact the Pima County Recorder's office 740-4330, or go online to recorder.pima.gov.
