It is with deep sorrow to you inform you the passing of a dear friend, colleague and brother-in -LULAC...Mr. Ray Gano, Council President, Past National VP for the Far West, Past State Director and Past District Director. He dedicated his life for good and the welfare of the League.

Tucson Vice Mayor Richard Fimbres, a former national LULAC Vice President for the Elderly, founder of Council 1057 and former Arizona State Director said, " this is a very sad day for all, Ray was a strong advocate in civil rights and education. As a former National & State Officer for the League of United latin American Citizens his leadership was key in dealing with many civil rights issues here in Arizona. Ray was always working to improve the quality of live for all. His Leadership, Expertise and Knowledge will be missed".
