New Summer Hours for Presidio

The Presidio San Agustín del Tucson is a re-creation of the original 1775 Spanish Presidio fort and is also known as the birthplace of Tucson. Effective June 16, 2011 the new hours for the Presidio will be Thursday-Sunday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Visit the Presidio at 133 W. Washington Street (northeast corner) for a self-guided tour featuring a munition room, torreón (tower), commissary, and living space for soldiers and their families.  Come out to watch the Spanish Colonial soldiers practice military drills on Saturday, July 9 and August 13 from 9-10 a.m.
