Ward 5 Business Town Hall - June 16

Dear Friends:

In January of this year, my office held a business town hall meeting to discuss what had been accomplished for the business community and was going to be taken place within Ward 5 and the City of Tucson.

City staff was on hand to update those in attendance to answer questions about city policies, procedures and on upcoming development projects.

Many city policies and regulations have been streamlined through actions taken by the Tucson Mayor and Council.

Ward 5 has seen the construction and opening of new stores, such as: the Costco at the Bridges, the completion of the first phase of the U of A Biopark, Goodwill Stores, a General Dollar Store, Perfection Industrial Finishing’s new location, a Circle K and MGM Associates construction, to name several accomplishments since the last meeting, resulting in the creation of new jobs and working to revitalize our Ward’s economic engine.

On Thursday, June 16, 6 to 8 pm, my office will be hosting a follow up, business town hall, at the El Pueblo Senior Center, 101 W. Irvington. Further follow up on upcoming projects, comments and questions about city policies, as well as getting feedback about the “Tucson Means Business” forum to be held this fall in Ward 5, are part of this agenda.

I hope to see you there at this meeting. If you have any questions, please call the Ward 5 Office, 791-4231.

Peace,

Richard Fimbres
Your Current Vice Mayor and Councilmember (Ward 5)
